Internship Program
What to expect:
Over the course of your internship you will:
- Complete the Victim Advocate training which includes: Sexual Violence 101, Domestic Violence 101, Child Abuse 101, Victimization via technology, Human Trafficking 101, Working with underserved and unserved populations, Suicide, and Victim Advocacy.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team meeting
- Participate in a sexual assault response team meeting
- Observe a forensic interview
- Support client intake process
- Observe/support a victim advocacy session
- Create and present on a special topic
- Answer hotline calls
- Participate in daily operations of the agency as requested
The Process
Intern candidate will complete the following:
- Complete questionnaire
- Interview with the Intern Coordinator & Executive Director
- SLED & DSS Background Checks
- Agency Orientation
